California State Bar Court Reporter

The California State Bar Court Reporter is the official source for the opinions of the Review Department, the appellate department of the State Bar Court. It contains the full text of the published opinions, case summaries and a detailed index and digest.

The California State Bar Court Reporter is a six-volume publication. It is used by attorneys, law school students, and others who wish to research disciplinary case law decided by the State Bar Court.

Why do I need the California State Bar Court Reporter?

The Review Department interprets and applies attorney disciplinary and regulatory law. Since 1989 the Supreme Court has published very few cases in this area. The California State Bar Court Reporter is the only official reporter for the Review Department; it is the only source which collects the Review Department opinions in permanent form and analyzes them in detail.

The California State Bar Court Reporter includes comprehensive headnotes, case summaries, and a sophisticated in-depth digest of attorney regulatory law. The California State Bar Court Reporter is a useful and necessary part of any library because it contains precedential appellate opinions in California attorney disciplinary and regulatory cases.

The California State Bar Court Reporter is also a helpful complement to the California Compendium on Professional Responsibility.
